1/2'' 220V Air Compressor Automatic Drain Valve With Timer Controlled

This is a brand new 220 volt electronic, automatic timed, moisture drain for air compressors, and air tanks. This drain can be set to drain every minute or up to every 45 minutes. The valve can be set to stay open between .5 and 10 seconds. Most commonly, these drains are set to drain for 3 seconds every 30-45 minutes. This valve also has a "Test" button that you can use to manually drain it at any time. The 1/2" female NPT outlet can be sealed simply by using tape. these are good quality, industrial drains that have a strainer built into them to protect the valve from debris, this strainer can easily be cleaned if it becomes clogged.

Auto Drains Installation & Setup:

1. Installation of the auto drain is fairly simple.

2. The existing manual drain is screwed out, and the auto drain is screwed into the same port.

3. Or, if the outlet on the manual drain is threaded, add a nipple and screw the auto drain onto the nipple. If you opt for this route, ensure that you leave the manual tank drain fully open.

4. Setting the time is straightforward as well. Typically there will be a timer knob, usually calibrated for hours and/or days on which you set the frequency of operation of the auto drain. Once a day? Perhaps twice a shift if the air compressor runs daily and frequently.

5. There will be another dial or knob to set the duration of the drain cycle. This dial is normally calibrated in seconds and/or minutes. This adjusts the length of time that the drain is open to void water and from the tank.
